Long time Nova user here also using gestures. Haven't noticed any lag. I'm always tweaking Nova settings in the process. I'm using latest Nova 7.24 beta. Execute a web search for "Nova APK mirror" to download if you don't want to deal with Discord. Seems very stable to me.

Thanks for Task Manager tip. I've been waiting for Samsung to re-release. I tried launching Task Manager but it says to download latest One UI Home market update. I can't seem to find that update. Seems like latest update is already installed (v 2.0.01.11). Did you encounter same issue...

I'm often dialed into long telecons. Constantly double tapping screen to wake phone (tap unmute) then talk is annoying. I use a free app called "Screen On" to keep screen awake while sitting on wireless charger during call.

This is the third time I've used trade in program (s10, s20+, s21 ultra). First time Samsung said I did not factory reset. Second time they charged my credit card a few weeks after they accepted trade in for full value. It took multiple phone calls and a few weeks to finally resolve both issues...

Agree with Samsung leather case assessment. It's definitely slick. Already dropped upon first use but luckily on carpet. Samsung silicon case feels way more grippy yet it's too bulky for my liking.

I've been asking myself the same question. I came from S20+ to S21 Ultra w/Nova Launcher. The user experience is about the same for me. I really notice the extra heft (weight & thickness) of the Ultra though. I prefer the thinness of the S20+ personally but I knew dimensions prior to Ultra...
