Just to clarify, I ordered on 10/4 around 4PM MST

My Silver 128 XL from Google arrived in my city an hour ago. I called to see if I could pick it up and FedEx said it is not in a position that I could pick it up tonight. I guess I'll just have to wait until tomorrow...

My order from Google for my silver 128 XL just went from pending to processing and there is a charge from Google in my bank account. It's happening!! So stoked!

They don't actually charge you until your order ships. I agree with your second point completely.

#1000! This is just frustrating. I ordered my silver 128G XL on Oct. 4 from Google with a ship date of Nov. 23-25. Yesterday I bought my wife a silver 128G Pixel from Project Fi and it has the same ship date. So much for preordering...

I agree, I really doubt they will be any different. Just wishful thinking for having to wait so long. I replied with a fairly lengthy reply to the rep and am trying to see if I can get upgraded to expedited shipping. I doubt they will but it's worth a shot.
