    The Google Now Launcher is not included with Lollipop for the Nexus 4 and has to be installed separately from the Play store.

    Adaptive brightness is not the same as auto-brightness. I can't post links yet, but google "auto-brightness is gone" and the first link explains it.

    Sure enough, mine is displaying correctly now. Strange.

    I don't really notice any change, if anything battery life is slightly worse. For some reason they removed the auto brightness function so I'm constantly having to manually adjust it.

    I think because the launcher was made with higher resolutions in mind it doesn't translate to the Nexus 4 as well. I noticed that it also cuts off the bottom of the widgets menu:
