Why wouldn't the carrier just give you the discount and get you on the hook for another 2 years unless you're paying in full. That make sense to me.

My s7 is fine in a case not worried about damages ect

If you go to the site it gave me a $300 discount now. Still looking for the $425. Does have to be through Samsung or what. They do have the links to the major carriers. Let's see about these emails.

I really dont plug in my note to charge it. I usually use my wireless charger. Has there been any issues with wireless chargers?
