I just did the cache wipe it did seem to effect anything.

I've just did regular resets not factory reset.

I'm thinking of restoring factory settings, with hopes that will force a rescan. But i would prefer not to.

The important photos are all in /dcim/camera.

And. Thanks B. Diddy. I hope we can get to the bottom of this problem. I know new versions of an OS present unprecedented issues.

They were taken by the camera app. But downloaded ones aren't showing up either. And its not just the gallery, all media playing apps are saying there are no files. For example, from "My Files" i open a video (mp4) file in tje camera folder and have it play in mx player. The video plays, and...

I have a Samsung s7, saving to internal memory. There is no memory card in the phone right now.

I just noticed today thaty gallery app is not showing any media. I took a new photo and that is the only thing showing up in the gallery. When i open file Explorer i see all the camera files in the same folder as the new photo, but gallery only sees the new one. I tried resetting a few times...
