Galaxy S6 Photo transfer without Smart Switch?

She could also try plugging the phone into the USB port on her computer. If she has Windows a Windows explorer window should open and display a list of storage devices including 'Samsung Galaxy S6'. From there find the DCIM folder which is where he photos should be. Cut/Paste to her PC. Note: If...

    Nice case for s6

I really like the Spigen Hybrid Crystal. It has good grip, It is completely clear so phone color and aluminum edges show clearly. It does not come with a screen protector but those are available separately. They used to be about $20 but a recently got two from egghead for $9.99 each.

    Marshmallow 6.0.1

Don't know about your font issues. I just pretty much use the defaults. I haven't had any issues so far with the apps I use regularly. Overall Marshmallow seems to be more refined which I guess we should expect.

    Marshmallow 6.0.1

Just got the Marshmallow update from Samsung. 1.2GB. I immediately noticed more bars on signal strength. Hope it's not 'Apple engineering'. When iPhone users complained about bars they rewrote the SW to get more bars at the same signal strength.

THIS IS URGENT. I have a problem with my Galaxy S6 camera. How can I fix it?

Re: THIS IS URGENT. I have a problem with my galaxy s6 camera. Are you doing a selfie? When the camera is tilted upwards with a wide angle shot it can distort upper part of the image. Happens with all wide angle lenses but generally not so prevalent with a dSLR since the camera is being held...

    Lollipop 5.1.1 - T-Mobile

The build went from OC3 to OF8. The SM-G920I is unlocked region specific for North/South America and was marked 'For American SIM Card Only'.

    Lollipop 5.1.1 - T-Mobile

I decided to do the download since I want to eventually try Samsung Pay. The update went smoothly. Phone seems a little faster and is using less RAM (60% vs 75%). Also, noticed 'A-Z' option in apps drawer. I tried that short code twice but got an error both times. I've only had success with...

    Lollipop 5.1.1 - T-Mobile

I just got notice of 5.1.1 OS update from T-Mobile for my SM-G920I. About 600+ MB. I haven't decided to install yet since phone is working perfectly. Just an FYI.

    Wireless charging!

I stand corrected. I had read that the 'lightening bolt' icon indicated fast charging but I checked with a Samsung 1A charger and it is apparently only an indication of charging on the S6.

    Wireless charging!

Yes. Assuming you are using genuine Samsung accessories. Plugging the Samsung 2A wall charger into the phone base or into the Samsung charging pad produces the 'lighting bolt' icon indicating fast charging is occurring. My guess there's a lot of third party charging gear which is poorly made or...

    Increased Data Usage

I'm sorry I don't know. Perhaps others here have an idea. I know there are lots of 'dire warnings' when you go to disable something but I've never really had a problem except for a little inconvenience reconfiguring later. You could also talk to your carrier about it. Hope that helps some. Good...

    Increased Data Usage

FYI - If a site determines you have a faster connection, they can serve higher quality images resulting in higher data costs. When going from HSPA to LTE my usage went 1 GB to 2 GB for similar activity.

Looking at possibly upgrading to the S6, have a few questions

Considered by many to be best smartphone camera you can get. Puts iPhone to shame.

    Newbie with a battery question

The battery is removable just not easily. There are directions (explanation?) on the last two pages of the owners manual. An end-user with some skill with electronics could do it but the cost of the tools would make it a wash. Most li-ion batteries get about 500 cycles so probably not an issue...
