I'm on the stock ROM. Tried CM9 but the wi-fi issue pretty much forced me back. I too read Hashcode's blog post...facinating yet sad all the same. A CM 7 ROM though...I could live with that.

I figure that most of you guys would equate "right" with "as close to the international model as possible" but i really wish that there is a qwerty variant (a'la Stratosphere or OG Epic 4G) available. Heck, it could even be a spinoff like the Stratosphere is on vzw, with the Fascinate...

To say I'm annoyed is a bit of an understatement. There's great ICS custom ROM's but the wi-fi is still pretty unstable (lots of drops) and stuff like Chrome Beta doesnt work. I was hoping that the official ICS upgrade would help the devs out.

As far as I could remember, the only way to soft reboot the stratosphere is by holding down power and choosing reboot.

Once you have the text you selected copied or cut, you can paste using the hardware QWERTY via menu key + v

I'm curious, what happens with the lint? On the D1 and 2 I know the Jack usually ended up dying due to the poor way it was connected to the motherboard.

Could it somehow be a glitch in the 911 "emergency tone" option? Verizon oddly allows one to set the phone to make a alert sound when 911 is dialed...they got some flack for having this on by default years ago so now it's an option.

Both of your stratosphere's should have came with a memory card. Are you absolutely sure that the 4GB microSD card on your first Strat wasn't in the phone? In any case, I'd be asking for the microSD card for your current handset.

It's kinda a bit "thick" looking, the beveled edges kinda make it look weird. Keyboard looks great though.

My biggest issue isn't with the camera itself, but with the user interface. Its a joke compared to the samsung camera UI and is missing a bunch of features that id consider basic. Stuff like a timer, etc. luckily camera 360 fixes that, but feels clunky, I only use it when I need a self timer...

I've been nothing but pleased with the screen. Yes its a bit noticeable but only when I look really really close. I will say that videos look a tad disappointing though.
