Stock Galaxy Note 3 Phones Only: Any Regrets after Upgrading to KitKat, or are you glad you did?

I updated yesterday, and have only noticed improvements: Speed has noticeably improved, possibly because all the apps were "optimized" as part of the upgrade Notifications screen is more crisp, due to a change in the stock font Seems to take a little less time to recharge I don't...

Did we ever decide if US Note 3's are region-unlocked, or not??

Thank you all for the input --- it sounds like I can be confident my US N3 will work in Europe, I should expect a big bill if I stay with the VZ sim, and the best approach will be to swap into a prepaid local sim while I'm there. Sadly, no UK stops this trip --- Germany, Czech Repub, Hungary...

Did we ever decide if US Note 3's are region-unlocked, or not??

I assume your Three sim which works in the US must operate like the Verizon Global services plan, where I would leave my VZW sim in place when traveling and just have my phone "turned on" by VZ...

But I can't test whether it'll work in Europe with a European sim without going there, which I'll do for a couple of months in the Fall. I'd like...

Verizon Note 3 On Straight Talk Not Able To Use MMS

I also have a Verizon Note 3, and tried a Straight Talk ATT sim as a test and had no MMS problems. Might be the phone number --- I opted for a new number for the test, and didn't use my Verizon number. Your APN settings are the same as mine were. The test was interesting, but I ended it after...

US VZW N3 Users Traveling in Europe - Does VZ's Global Data Plan Work OK?

I'm off to Germany and E Europe (Austria, Czech Repub, Slovakia and Hungary) for 2 months, and would like to hear from anyone who's used VZ's Global Data Plan/voice/text plans with their N3 in that part of the world. Their pricing is competitive, and it would sure be easier not to have to...
