It could be that since you just got the phone Google apps are installing and Google services are doing a lot of syncing which could chew up you battery and make the phone. Depending on which camera you have you can connect your camera to your phone and download your pictures. For Canon it is called Powershot WiFi. So I would check for that option in your phone. Hope it works for you! Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

You could try an app Speakerphone EX which will automatically turn on the speaker if it detects you are not holding the phone against your ear. It will even switch between speaker and regular if you put your phone to your ear or remove it. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
