I currently won both devices right now. Both devices are so good that they pull me in opposite directions. I guess it really comes down to what you expect in a device. The reception is insane on my Pixel XL. Like freaky good. Almost too good that I feel like I am being cooked with radiation or something haha. I have unlocked model from Google, in Canada, on Telus and have LTE + EVERYWHERE! Sad to say I am returning the phone though.

I would probably suggest Google Hangout, I'm pretty sure it's available on the iPad. I have never used it but I know at least, if its available, you'll be able to have both devices syncing with one Google account which will then allow you to view your messages on both devices. Try it and let me...
