what unixpsycho said. i would check out Geek For Me – Android CDMA Sprint Hero for info on rooting, they have a great app to root it for you, and their ROM is pretty good as well

not to dog on iPhone, because I did love my iPhone, but I had to reboot it every day or I would have trouble, and than still times I would have to reboot the phone because it was sluggish. I don't think my hero is any better or worse in this respect. Once android lets us run apps, (officially)...
