Anyone had Nougat the UK yet?

Just got it today on 3.

    Browser app discontinuation

Sad to see that HTC are discontinuing their browser app this month and are putting an intrusive message up from time to time when the app is opened. I have found the HTC browser to be one of the best things about the M9. Text reflow is a great feature, sadly missing on other browsers. I have...

anyone not jumping to the HTC 10?

Well, the top mounted key was the ideal place as the M8 proved - so much so that when I go back to my M8 it feels like an upgrade with its superior usability. The side key on the M9 is in the exact spot your fingers naturally go to when you pick up the phone so accidental presses are a constant...

anyone not jumping to the HTC 10?

I will stay with my M9. Maybe in a year from now I will look to buy an as new unwanted upgrade HTC 10 at a good price. My only reservation is they went once more with the stupid side-mounted power key.

HTC One M9 gets warm in pocket-what's wrong?

Just in case you happen to have glove mode selected, turn this off, because with the absurd side-mounted power switch this phone easily gets accidentally turned on in a pocket and glove mode then means lots of unwanted (and unseen) phone activity ensues... Not good - I found out the hard way.

    M9 batterylife and display

Certainly the biggest disappointment for me has been the new power button on the centre of the case. It makes it tricky to pick up the phone without catching it accidentally since it's exactly where the fingers want to grip, and it's likely to get caught in a pocket. It is also in the worst...

    M9 batterylife and display

I don't find the battery life or display quality to be quite as good as on my older M8, which would typically give me 3 days per charge, with some tinkering. My new M9 seems to be two days maximum. In some ways I find my M9 a downgrade over the M8. That said, having tried other phones I am happy...

Screen colour looks 'off' - is it possible to make it as the M8?

I agree. Also, my M8 had a nicer blueish green tint. My M9 has a more orange tint to the screen which cannot be altered in the colour temp settings.

    Broken screen

HTC's UK support are of no help. I asked how much it would be to replace the screen and got back the stock response which is you have to return it to us at a cost of £27 and then we will decide how much to charge you. I have replied asking how much just for screen replacement and have had no...

    Broken screen

Just had my phone slide out my top pocket onto concrete, breaking the screen on the right edge. I'm cursing cos only last week I'd bought an official HTC flip cover to replace the silicone cover which came with it and worked great. It's my belief that silicone cover would have prevented this...

    Good dust proof case

I also work in a dusty environment and have found nothing better than simply wrapping the phone in a cheap polythene freezer bag. It works 100% and can be thrown away when dirty.

    Start up tone

It's a three-note kind of 'da da daaaaa' tune.. I hate it! It comes on after my operator logo so I assumed it to be HTC's tone? It always annoyed me, coming from an iPhone since there isn't one on those and, as has been mentioned, this phone requires the volume turning right down before every...

    Start up tone

Hmm, a strange one this as when I turned it on just now using the same method I got the startup tone. So maybe not a proper fix. Shame it has to be there at all since it's just an annoyance.

    Start up tone

Just a quick tip for anyone else as annoyed by the loud tune on boot up which was waking everyone in the house at 6am... Never read this but I have found it can be defeated if the phone is in a sleeve. Just pull out the top of the phone to switch on then slide back in the sleeve, it must be the...

For the love of all things holy, why can't we copy a friggin phone number!

Similarly I find it absurd that to block a caller I have to write down the number I want to block and enter it manually. There is no way to do this from the call history log.
