Can't do anything with it now. It's at the post office. But yes, I could get sort of a home screen (though not the one I used to have) with no apps and a date in 1980. It's all academic now.

Unfortunately not. I suspect that tech support or the store would have caught anything that easy. But, of course, you never know.

I guess I will give up and send the phone back without recovering the contact info. Oh well.

Might not be a bad battery. I would get that battery picture, but I had an application which reported the voltage directly, and it always gave reasonable numbers. The app was called something like GPS Data. Later, my phone failed. Don't know if that's related or not but the old battery works...

Hi, I've looked around the forums a bit, but nothing I recognize as helpful. Doesn't mean there isn't something, I just don't recognize it. I'm not much of a computer guy, though I am not COMPLETELY helpless. And I'm not great with the TLA's, either. Anyway, my old HTC Incredible 2 won't boot...
