It most certainly is a KNOWN issue. I upgraded to this phone a month ago. Started having this issue within two weeks. They had me do a factory data reset (during which a hoard of unrecoverable data was lost, despite them assuring me that it was in fact uploaded to Cloud). Less than two weeks...
