Here in Germany there were reports of this being due to an update to software number 1.84.207.2, I installed this update but haven't had the problem.

Varies depending on what im doing my best till now was around 36/38 hours and on average at least a day depending how much I surf, telephone etc. After reading some of the horror stories I was expecting a lot worse and have been mildly suprised.

The official OS is 2.2 which will be installed, the updates aren't like the Blackberry's where you can download from a provider as far as I know any updates are OTA. Regarding Apps been an Android user with a Desire HD for one and a half weeks I cant really be helpful as im still feeling my way...

Would have to agree with this 100% my Bold is still going strong and being used by my son now.
