I was wondering... Could this be software related? I had been having some strange malfunctions since I professionally rooted my phone, but nothing as bad as the screen failing, was actually thinking about taking a look inside to see if anything came loose.

Bizarre honestly, didn't drop it, nothing, just kaput, worked early in the day, took a break at work to find the screen doesn't work... its like a purplish color, no longer under warranty and rooted, tried the battery trick, nothing [inappropriate language removed by moderators].
