I would do a Factory Reset (Menu>Settings>SD & Phone Storage>Factory Data Reset) and sign in with the new account. Make sure you back up your applications and anything else you need before doing this.

I have also noticed this. It shows TeleNav having 0 processes and 1 service and it always states restarting. I just force stop it. I have no idea why it does this.

Maps should not consume that much battery unless you are using navigation. When closing the app use the Back Arrow until you have exited the app. If you press Home when the app is running, it might not exit it properly. Just a suggestion. That is how I exit almost all my apps.

I just noticed that today also and I updated it last week. In the News Feed you can select from Top News, Most Recent and so on. The News Feed also looks very similar to the Facebook mobile site. Everything else seems to be unchanged.
