AT&T Note 8 will not update

I had the same issue and was told by AT&T to take it to an AT&T rep at a Best Buy and have them flash the latest updated software. They said it should be good to go after that. I haven't done it yet, but will when I get the chance.

Who has 2 or more phones they go between?

iPhone X and Note 8, two sims and shared data. Love having the best of both worlds, and the ability to disconnect from work from time to time.

Anyone here not using a screen protector for their Note 8?

No screen protector here. Tried one for a couple days on my Note 5, and it was good, but I just love the phones too much in their original form.

Note 8 light on the edges

Nope, full brightness in a dark room and no light leaking on mine.

    Bixby Can't Open Contacts

I tell Bixby "open contacts" and Bixby opens the contacts app. I tell Bixby to open contacts to a certain name and it opens to that specific person. Not sure why it wouldn't be working for you.

Thinking about leaving for an Iphone

I have both the iPhone 6s+ and the Note 5 on separate lines. I've had the Note 5 for just over a year and the iPhone 6s+ for about 4 months. It took me about a couple months to realize how much I enjoy the iPhone over the Note 5, but now my Note 5 is basically a paperweight on my desk. I pick...

Its time the Note 5 got the Note 7/s7 features.

The only way you can remind a company like Samsung that they just aren't cutting it is with your wallet, and only if enough people feel the need to remind them of that.

HELP!! Restarted phone and now it's asking for a PIN instead of fingerprints

When you initially set up your fingerprints you either set up a pin or a password as well. With the Marshmallow update whenever you restart your phone, or it's inactive for a 24hr period of time, you'll need to enter your pin or password before you can continue to use fingerprints as your...

Are any Note 5 owners going to jump to the Note 7 on day 1?

The Note 7 definitely looks like a nice device, but this will be the first time I don't really have any real desire to upgrade to the next in line right away. Very happy with my 64GB AT&T Note 5! I'll likely ride this one out and see what comes after the Note 7.

    Volume warning issue

I had this issue as well. I discovered if you hold the volume up button and hit ok at the same time (you may have to hit ok twice, just keep holding the volume up button) then you'll be able to increase the volume. Works every time for me when I do that.

does anyone here have a skin on their phone?

I currently use the Black Carbon skin from dBrand https://dbrand.com/shop/galaxy-note-5?utm_mnsid=UUacUvbUpU5255148 and I really like it. Tough skin and has a great feel to it. I only use it on the back of the phone to protect from all of the fingerprints that accumulated very quickly while it...

    Note 5 lag?

I can honestly say that the Note 5 is the first phone that gives me no desire to upgrade when the next best comes out. Upgraded to it from the GS5 about 9 months ago. No lag, very stable, beautiful screen, running Marshmallow, and feels like a very premium phone in the hand.

Would you still get a note 5?

I'd wager you two received defective devices as what you are describing is definitely the exception, not the norm. This phone has been rock solid, no crashing and very smooth even through the update to MM.

Would you still get a note 5?

The Note 5 will be a good buy for a good couple years I would wager. Great phone that does everything one would need from a phone and then some. Buttery smooth running the latest released OS. The only reason I would see to purchase the Note 7 would be the expandable memory and battery, but...
