You are correct, I was thinking about it last night when I put mine on the charger and I realized what I had said lol. It can't hurt to have plenty of magnets. On my car touchstone I didn't need extra on the base, but it could differ for you.

Not working on my t-mobile gs3 even with power saver off. Worked a few days ago so they must have changed something.
