As for the Slow charging problem. Try using another USB cable. Some USB cables cannot deliver the high charge current for the S3. This solved my slow charging issue.

I had the same problem. It turned out to be the USB cable could not deliver the current. Appearently some USB cables are not made for changing with high current. Try another USB cable! BTW the S3 needs at minimum a 1A charger.

I had the same problem and solved it. The problem lies with the USB cable. The S3 needs quite a high current to change; when the internal USB copper cables are thin then this cable cannot deliver the current. My advice try another USB cable and destroy the bad cable (I asume you are not using...
