I feel your pain but since they run on Verizons network there's not much other than billing they can screw up.
I use almost no data to speak of. I was paying Verizon $44.00 / month for a 2 gig plan which I never used. Switched to Xfinity and their per gig deal and my cell bill dropped to $11.00/...
The Note 9 is a beast of a phone to begin with. Add the One UI and in my opinion, you have the best of the best Andriod phones. I've had 3 iPhones and 3 Androids prior to my Note 9. Nothing compares to this phone running One UI.
I noticed after updating to Pie that when I turned on Dark Mode it prompted me to turn off my current theme. I love the Dark Mode so I canned the theme.
I even used an unlocked BlackBerry Keyone on Xfinity with no issues. I just moved the sim card and restored from my Google backup. Used that phone on Xfinity for almost a year. I never had any issues.
If you have an active Xfinity sim card just swap it over and go. If not, if you have an old iPhone use it to set up your account then swap the SIM over to the Android. that's what I did. works fine. only drawback is no support from them if you have connection issues.
I found this to be the case as well. I spoke with an Xfinity Mobile rep that stated their intent to have this issue resolved by end of this year and this will allow all Android users to BYOD over to XM.
I just put my Xfinity SIM card in my old Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and it works great. I did a Facebook Messenger chat with one of their reps. He said it would work but they can't offer support just yet if you have issues. That is supposedly coming by year's end.
I recently switched from VZW to Xfinity Mobile and Could not be happier. We were in a 4GB plan with VZW for $90/month for 2 lines.
My first XM bill was $16.00. I love it. They do piggy back on VZW network but you not paying them $20.00 per phone for network access like VZW. We brought over 2...
I am having the very same issue. In my case I simply moved my SIM card over to an older iPhone while my Galaxy was having the screen replaced. When I switched back just last night I can call or text anyone on any phone but I won't get their reply and will only receive their call if their calling...
I'm still carrying my Priv. It's my daily driver. I love the phone.
I'll carry it until it dies. All my friends and family are always making fun of it because it's not an iPhone. I've had iPhones I hate them.
I've been a Blackberry fan from day one. Still have my old Curve as a souvenir!
Thank you. I have seen a couple of videos on YouTube rooting the Priv and one side loading Nougat 7.1.1. I was leaning towards rooting the N6 from the start.
