    ZTE Grand X4 Vs DTEK50

ZTE Grand X4 is GSM so it should work on Freedom mobile. DTEK50 has a CDMA model as well as GSM. I'm not aware of any reason the GSM model DTEK50 wouldn't work on Freedom network though as long as it has the correct APN settings. I don't have firsthand access to the Freedom network or a DTEK50...

Just got the new ZTE Grand X4, now I wait

I'm really interested in seeing if someone comes up with a root for this too. Aside from the lack of SD movement the Grand X4 is a surprisingly capable solid device.

Nexus 5x Nougat Wireless Emergency Alert

The Emergency Broadcast System or the government's equivalent of the country where your device is located will broadcast alerts that the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P can receive as long as these settings are enabled. 1. From the Home screen slide two fingers down from the top of your screen. 2...

    Network and WiFi very slow

I was going to suggest a Wi-Fi Analyzer for Android but with .1mbps it would take a while to download. Have you tried rebooting your z3 into Safe mode? Here's a link with steps for your device: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28258 If the connection speeds are improved on your device in...

Why has this appeared on my home screen

These are definitely soft keys. They can be really useful in a situation where part of your digitizer is unresponsive to touch. I used an app called Handy Soft Keys on another Android when the the bottom corner of an Android was damaged. I'm not familiar with the particular one pictured in your...

    Unbelievable Battery drain G900F

There are always background services running so some drain with no other activity is normal. With Marshmallow and Lollipop it takes a few days for the battery optimization to kick in for apps that aren't in constant use. One thing that does stand out in your screenshots is the Phone Radio using...

Email content not showing on lock screen.

Something to consider is Samsung likes burying settings in more than one location for some features. Among a couple of other scenarios it would be worth checking in Settings > Applications > Application Manager > scroll down and tap the Email app > under Notifications make sure the "Hide all"...

    Android Central Photo Contest: Concrete

No, but I know those bridges go on for what seems like forever! These two are about 200 miles east, and connect Gulf Breeze to Pensacola Beach, Florida.

    Android Central Photo Contest: History

Captured with Moto G 2014 in HDR and edited in Snapseed. Just east of Pensacola, home of the Blue Angels, an iconic Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is frozen in flight. These planes were considered key in U.S. conflicts including the Vietnam War, and they continue to capture the eye as well as our...

Are you able to hard boot into recovery mode? Press and hold the Volume Down and Up buttons simultaneously then press the Lock/Power button for a few seconds. This should restart your Moto G to a black screen with a boot menu. You can then select boot options using the volume down button and...

    Android Central Photo Contest: Reflection

On the second day with my gift to self that replaced the Nexus 4, the clouds aligned to blanket an unseasonably warm sunset. I hurried to capture this image with my Moto G 2014, and couldn't beat nature's lighting so here is the original taken in HDR mode.
