best advice I read on here was - when it freezes, leave it alone, it will come back after 15-30 mins. NOT forcing it to reboot and letting it take its time to unfreeze itself seems to be helping to fix it. Given that there hasn't been any worthwhile testing of whether this is a valid fix or not...
