apparently messenger notifications are now back.. the problem was fixed by disabling chat heads in fb messenger settings.. i guess it will only report the notifications if they are not popping up on the screen.. anyone else having the same problem u now have the solution..

background syncing is always on even if you turn sync off.. its what pushes messages and notifications from apps like whatsapp, bbm, facebook etc.. the only way to turn that off is in data usage where you specifically forbid it from background usage... iphone 4 is a joke man.. you cant even...

It can be much more if stupid apps like google play services dont unnecessarily kill the battery!! hate it when developers dont do their jobs properly.. we paid good money for the device why should we get a second class experience due to incompetence by the developers?
