I recently tried to root my galaxy s7 with android 7, and got stuck in a bootloop (I'm not experienced). I used Odin v.3.12 and flashed android 7 firmware again, but it did not work properly. many bugs etc. So I tried downgrading, flashing android 6.0.1 instead and it seems to work just fine...
