This is Quark's suggested hookup: Note that the AIS comes from a marine antenna, not the internet. The WiFi comes from the Quark receiver (it acts as a WiFi router - or USB router, if you connect by a USB cable).

If it's the SM-960U, it has the same bands as the SM-970U (USA S10e), so they should be comparable. If it's the SM-960F (the Note 9 Global version), it's missing bands 14, 29, 30 and 46, but I don't think TMobile uses any of them, so it should still work the same as the S10e.

Unfortunately, no. Anything you can use, chkdsk, PhotoRec, only runs in a PC (or in a Windows PC in the case of chkdsk). But if your library runs Windows on its computers, chkdsk is part of Windows, you don't have to install anything.

Settings -> About phone -> Build number. Tap that 7 times and the Developer Mode menu item will appear in Settings. (After tapping it 7 times, you'll have to back out of 'About phone' to see it.)

Your best bet is to create an apk of your current dialer (use Apk Extractor). Then, on any phone you get, you can copy that apk file to the new phone and install it.
