    Is Verizon Galaxy Nexus global ready?

    I absolutely don't mean to challenge you, but for my own benefit, why does the Nexus wikipedia page (and the source sites at the bottom) all say that it has GSM connectivity for 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 frequencies? Is this only for certain variants of the phone?

    Three years after OP, but I have the same question. I've read that Android 4.2.2 made the Nexus GSM compatible, but I'm not quite savvy enough to understand whether or not this is actually true. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks!
