I would have guessed that you have too many running apps in the background, causing a faster battery drain and thus becomes warmer. That is, if failure isn't the problem

Update on this situation: The above was only a partial fix, the sd card still disconnects once a day, and restarting the phone in safe mode temporarily fixes it. The music app doesn't crash every 10 seconds This time the LTE started to fail as well, so I think the sd card area really is...

They were saved on internal storage, but frankly I'd rather not root my phone, and it would be easier to just recreate/redownload the pictures (they were mostly memes). Thanks for your help

I've checked both of these and more but still can't find them. The folders for the apps themselves still exist but were all empty (until I added new pictures that I've made).
