No problems, just annoyances (AT&T) It sucks having to turn down system sounds to stop the 100% charged notification, and it's hit or miss if the notification pull down works, and that there's only room for two on the lock screen.

I know you said you used the cable that came with the phone but try a different one. I've experienced this with other cables myself. It also seems to happen with the original cable when I plug it into a USB 3.0 port.

I can get it to play one song, and then it will start the next, get 30-60 seconds into it and then it pauses like it's buffering, but in reality it's like the software didn't realize that the song changed as hitting next will sometimes restart the song over, or other times just skip it all...

Dim your screen. If you keep it 100%, even if you let navigation dim it it's going to use more power than the average charger can provide. I usually don't go above 50%

It largely depends on the app. Some pause, some duck, and some play everything at the same volume. I find it very annoying, and for what I've found a lot of this depends on what OS the developer is trying to target as ducking support was added fairly recently.
