    It is checked, but that feature is for when you check your lock screen and the message is in a preview in a small box I believe. The screen doesn't actually turn on like before. Not a real big issue, but it was something I was used to. Posted via Android Central App

    Is there an option somewhere on how to enable the screen to turn on when receiving text messages? It suddenly stopped doing that when I did the update to 4.3. Posted via Android Central App

    Not sure if it was mentioned but although I'm on Sprint, try clearing out the cache of the download manager. I too was getting the same problem until I did that. No more issues. Posted via Android Central App

    Screen doesn't wake when text messages come through?!?!?

    I was looking online tonight to find out the same exact issue. Hopefully there's a setting that I missed and someone can point it out. BTW this happened after I updated to the recent 4.3 update for the S3. Posted via Android Central App
