    Question about encryption on ICS

I've set my device policy to require encryption in order to connection to our Enterprise account now that we've all got ICS on our phones. I had a bit of a question, as did others... My phone (Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket) has 3 storage devices... Device Storage - Assuming this is the OS and...

    How Secure Is Android?

Thanks for the replies. I guess I should've been more clear. I'm not too worried about some random kid at a Taco Bell picking up my phone and trying passwords. I was wondering about someone actually cracking/hacking the phone. Or perhaps law enforcement access, and things like that.

    How Secure Is Android?

I've got a Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket (2.3.6) and was wondering how secure the device itself is. I've set a password on it, but if I lose the phone...what are the chances of someone breaking into it before I get a chance to remotely wipe the device? Say for example on a 4 character, all...

    SD Card Encryption

Um...wow, nevermind...I'm just going to get the Galaxy S3 later this month. Hopefully AT&T releases it.

    SD Card Encryption

Coming from a BlackBerry, I felt secure with some personal files on my phone because I could easily encrypt the entire SD card making it only readable by the phone. The phone was then password protected... How can I securely store a pretty sensitive file on my phone? I'm using Gingerbread, but...

    Release date?

Yes, it sucks. I've been victim to this emotional torture for several phones now. If it's announced, and not released within a month or so, I lose excitement and just wait for the next thing because it was already announced...then that misses the 4 week window and so I wait for the next thing...

Wow AT&T! - Customer Service blunder

Also, it seems according to this...deductible on the claim would be $200! http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/en_US/pdf/ATT_Tiered_Ded_Eligibility_Schedule_ATT_COM_FINAL_March_16_2012.pdf?

Wow AT&T! - Customer Service blunder

Insurance with AT&T isn't really worth it to be honest. It's just the same as buying a used phone off of eBay. There's a monthly fee, plus a $99 deductible. So if in month 15, you need to make a claim...you've already spent $200+ anyway.

Wow AT&T! - Customer Service blunder

Here is the response I got via email from AT&T. I've bolded the part I think is silly.

Wow AT&T! - Customer Service blunder

The phone is for a 16 year old who has physically damaged his last 3 devices. Which is why a $9.99 Galaxy S II is very attractive. If he breaks it, I'm out only $10 and won't buy another for him. If I spend $99 or more on a new devices and he breaks it...I'm out quite a bit of money.

Wow AT&T! - Customer Service blunder

Keep in mind, I didn't say in the OP, but I've been at this for a good 4 hours now across two days. I've finally given up. It seems such a basic task. Just override my date, and ship me the phone. I understand companies compartmentalize...but geez! Even got to speak with 'managers' and...

Wow AT&T! - Customer Service blunder

I'll keep this short, because what makes this ridiculous isn't any anecdotal story, just the facts. I have an upgrade coming up in exactly 3 weeks. One of the phones on my account, broke. So I called to see if they'd sell me a phone at the upgrade price today. Which means they have to...

    No MicroSD?

Well, I actually just use Rdio for music. Don't do that much video...so...I guess I'll be perfectly fine. Thanks for the replies, this is what I'm getting then. As soon as it releases.

    No MicroSD?

What about app storage? I've only used Android for about 4 weeks when I tried out the Atrix last year, been using BlackBerry for 4 years. Is the onboard 16GB enough to store a healthy amount of applications + 2GB worth of podcasts?

    No MicroSD?

I'm going to give Android another shot and was going through upcoming powerhouse phones for ATT and found the HTC One X which I fell in love with. However...is it true that there is no MicroSD slot? If so, that's a huge deal breaker for me.
