Lifting up worked for me also. Thanks man. I had a feeling that the micro usb was bent. I got a car dock from sprint and the cable is so short. when it docks you feel the cable bending and putting pressure on the micro usb. Guess its time to stop using it.

Thanks will do later. Does anyone know if TrevMod Wifi Tether requires odex or deodex? Or how to you determine if you are on an open or decoded rom? I forgot how to check.

I figured it was like MA6. I just flashed the firmware and not the rom, didn't want to lose anything or take a chance.

I am stock rooted. Downloaded the baseband/firmware zip file. Flashed it but my baseband is MB1 but build number is still MA6

Sorry I am a dumb---. I was trying to install "ac3e74a5a71c.update_SPH-L710_LJ7_to_MA6" instead of "Galaxy-S-fre3-MA6FirmwareModemAIO". All is good now. I don't remember downloading the LJ7 to MA6.

I tried both of these. I tried the firmware first and that was the error. Did not try the odex or deodex. Should I do one of those first?

I'm using CWM 5.5.0.4 and I get the Status 7 Installatio aborted. Do I need something different to install this?

Let me start by saying that I am rooted but on stock rom. I'll try and explain the best I can. Yesterday I went to use Opera and noticed that it went to a white screen and never loaded Opera. Tried it about 5 times and the same thing nothing. Tried with wifi on and off. Used the stock browser...

i see. i only use it so the wife can surf the net on drives over an hour. i know what you mean. it aint fast but it keeps her busy.
