I think this is more widespread.. Turns out I have it too.. now I knew to look for it. I'd never have noticed though had no one mentioned it! I'm not too worried this looks like a software issue to me.

It possibly depends what phone you are comparing too.. The only choices there have ever been in normal google plain Android as far as I know ate: Small, Normal, Large, Huge It doesn't seem to matter which I pick.. they are always the same on all 4 settings. They are device independent settings...

Number 1 and Number 2 are both still a problem on my 5X with the MDB08L (November) update. Do you have MDB08M or MDB08L jdnelsonkc?

It looks exactly the same too me.. Nexus 5X on the Left, Nexus 4 on the right. Both Fonts set to Huge.

Last night the phone in question updated from MDA89E, to MDB08L which is listed as the November security update. The patch was 43MB. The weird thing is.. MDB08L isnt the most recent build, there is an MDB08M build on the Factory Images page..

The size depends which updates you had before.. For example my UK 5x just got the November update (from MDA89E to MDB08L) which was 45MB They do download over 3G/4G though.. I used to do that all the time on the Nexus 4

The only time I get lag/stutter is when its plugged in charging. In common with a lot of devices.. that makes the touch screen go weird.. and it looks like lag. but it is actually fake touched/electrical interference on the touch controller. It's worse in the UK, possibly because of our 50hz...

Isn't the ZXing Barcode Scanner (which has this issue) a Google Product though? (its an open source project but looked after by Google) So its all well and good telling others to fix problems, but they haven't sorted it themselves yet!
