I have an similar problem with my Note 3. (SM-N9005, not restricted to any carrier.) I might re-install 4.4.2 as I have an rooted phone if anyone is wondering. My Samsung Gear Fit (SM-R350) is doing the same as your watch is and don't know why. I didin't update my phone with the OTA as Lollipop...
