    Yes, and the result was just the error popping up again before sending me to the home screen. I might just replace the phone at this point. It's not worth taking it to be repaired.

    I can't even get in recovery mode to try that. Screen responded to touch for the ok button on the error but nothing else.

    No. I can't tap anything on the screen in safe mode or normal startup mode.

    Safe mode gave me the same issue and the steps to get the factory reset option didn't work.

    Further research shows it is an LG G4, not 5. Sorry, that probably is what messed this up. Model H810

    I followed the steps on that site and it put me in safe mode. Also that phone doesn't look like mine but I turned it off, help power+volume down until the logo popped up, then held them again.

    Re: System UI stopped responding LG S5 No. it opened to my home screen with less apps and said "safe mode" at the bottom of the screen. I couldn't tap anything.
