    Force 90hz display

I forced 90hz and honestly I can't see a difference either. Battery life didn't take a huge hit from what I could see. Since I couldn't notice a difference though I turned off 90hz totally and have it set on 60hz.

    It's Going Back

I charged the phone after pickup yesterday morning and I have about an hour of slow charging in the vehicle (connected to AA). I have 42% remaining with 5hr 42m screen on time. On the XL I don't think battery is too much of a concern. I plan to test out 90hz setting after the next full...

Sadly this doesn't surprise me. What happened to the days when tech support knew their own product?

    It's Going Back

I think you have a defective device....but....it sounds like it just isn't the right device for you anyway. I'm sorry you had such a frustrating experience. My Pixel 4 XL is working great so far. I am very pleased with it. I too had a frustrating experience with a device so I can understand...

So far so good - Pixel 4 XL on Mint Mobile

Picked up my Pixel 4 XL 128 GB from BB at around 11am this morning. I had a Note 10 + and had nothing but problems with it on Mint Mobile. Before that I had a Pixel 2 XL which worked perfectly on Mint Mobile so I decided to get the 4 XL. I have been very happy with the device so far! All...

Seems like more folks are "meh" for Pixel 4 than excited?

So Marques is out with more on Pixel 4 XL. After watching this video it seems to me like he is meh on the device too. Sadly he is stating what I have heard before...that the iPhone might be a better buy. https://youtu.be/mfbSqTB74xM

Re: Seems like more folks are "meh" for Pixel 4 than excited? I was answering your question and your reply. I already said I don't want to debate the issue here for the very reason you cited above. I am confident the Pixel 4 will be a better fit for me.

Seems like more folks are "meh" for Pixel 4 than excited?

Re: Seems like more folks are "meh" for Pixel 4 than excited? I am assuming you mean for things like wifi calling and VoLTE? The Note 10 + is an unlocked device and GSM it's also supported by Mint. They even sell the Note 10 on their site. Putting my wifi calling issue...

Seems like more folks are "meh" for Pixel 4 than excited?

The main thing is that I need the device to work properly with my carrier (Mint Mobile) which the Note 10 + does not. I need it to take decent photos, have reliable wifi calling, have reliable texting, do Android Auto, YouTube, Duo, etc. I have been struggling with the wifi calling and have...

Seems like more folks are "meh" for Pixel 4 than excited?

I think the 2 XL is still a decent device. I traded my 2 XL in on my Note 10 + back in August. The Note 10 + hasn't worked out for me. I am going for the Pixel 4 XL 128 GB. If for some reason that doesn't work it's going back and I will pickup a used Pixel 2 XL and see what next year brings.

Re: Seems like more folks are "meh" for Pixel 4 than excited? They ar different platforms but iOS isn't so much more efficient that it needs only 1/4 the amount of RAM vs. An Android flagship device. The RAM management issues on Pixel 3 were patched up fairly quickly from what I...

I agree. Folks seem to put a lot of emphasis on RAM but Apple still gets away with 4 GB of RAM on their iPhone 11 Pro devices here in 2019.

It's a good idea. I use sync.com for my cloud storage. Very similar operation to dropbox and lower price. Plus they are based in Canada so one might feel better knowing their data would be a little more difficult to obtain by US law enforcement. Not that I have to worry about law...
