Hi everyone. I have a samsung galaxy W and it has the same problem. For my phone it seems a firmware update to 2.3.6 is the solution either through Kies (if it works) or SamMobile Firmware Page which I think is through Odin. Not that I have tried either or know how to upgrade through Odin...
