Nokia Experts seeking advice on Google Android

I'm curious about this as well. I would assume explicit incentives have been put in place by Google, but beyond that I haven't seen anything specific. I'm going to have to say it's wrong to assume carriers will just naturally want to expend additional resources to test and apply non-essential...

Nokia Experts seeking advice on Google Android

On the devices I have tried, the HTC Sense UI was more compelling than the standard Android interface. There is now MotoBLUR, Samsung TouchWIZ, and HTC Sense. Will all of these interfaces create confusion for the Android platform and upgrades? Exactly what I've been seeing, in my experiences...

I'm just suprised at how many variations of Andriod are in circulation at this early stage. The Palm/iPhone over-the-air update system would have been so much nicer.. of course, with all the customized UIs in play, I could see how that would not work as well in practice with Android.

Agreed entirely. Rim has succeeded in keeping their OS current and lustworthy where Windows Mobile has failed, but the limitations are beginning to show and Rim may soon be faced with the same market conditions palm dealt with and Microsoft's Mobile division is attempting to overcome--The market...

CrackBerry.com on Android - Round Robin

Having answered the questions yesterday, I figured today I might share a bit of information I read recently regarding the maturing of the Android OS marketplace.. It can be argued that Android has now assured its enduring place in consumers pockets through its surpassing of the 20,000 app...

CrackBerry.com on Android - Round Robin

I'm going to qualify things by stating that, while I don't personally own an Android device (Yet!), I have followed the development of the OS closely and have had extensive hands-on time with several units. A. how do you find the hardware (comfort of use, ease of use)? Personally, I don't feel...
