Good catch! Yep. I re-enabled the unified daemon and then turned off the weather option for my lock screen. No more gps updates. Disabling the daemon will break some widgets so not recommended.

Quick update... It is definitely the unified daemon (EUR) process. However clearing the data isn't a fix. It started searching for gps again so I disabled it in the application manager menu. Now the gps lookups have stopped. Hopefully disabling this service won't impact anything. I'm guessing...
