    WiFi sign in problems

Longtime Motorola user, new LG user. On my old phones any time my phone automatically connected to a saved WiFi network that required a browser sign in, the phone would connect to the network and then a notification would pop up that said "Sign in to WiFi network..." and clicking that would open...

    My Verizon Mobile

The "regular" one stopped working well for non-carrier phones so I think they did some updates so that the Nexus version would be more compatible for such phones (including the MXPE).

    Does Marshmallow handle Bluetooth differently?

No I just uninstalled. The mobile site works just about as well. I plan to reinstall the app sometime down the road to see if an update fixed it. But it also seems if you search regular Google Maps for gas stations it shows prices too so there's that.

    Does Marshmallow handle Bluetooth differently?

Yeah, it's likely that app. With MM you can theoretically use the permissions settings to figure out what app is using Bluetooth and draining but I'm not sure how.

    Does Marshmallow handle Bluetooth differently?

Found the problem. It turned out to be only a coincidence that the issue started after I upgraded. Turns out a recent update to the GasBuddy app uses Bluetooth to give you "deals" at gas stations but it doesn't let your phone go idle, hence the battery drain due to Bluetooth.

    Does Marshmallow handle Bluetooth differently?

That's what I figured. I'd hate to have to do a reformat but I'm not coming up with any other ideas.

    Does Marshmallow handle Bluetooth differently?

With Marshmallow I'm seeing significant battery drain from keeping my Bluetooth on all the time. My phone occasionally connects to my FitBit (manual sync only) and my car. Keeping Bluetooth on with Lollipop never seemed to be a problem, but now Bluetooth is often above even the screen when it...

    6.0 Marshmallow: Enable Battery Percentage

This is the correct procedure. Nothing will pop up until you've held it a few seconds then let go.

Moto X Pure 2015 text goes wonky, how can I stop this?

Re: Moto X Pure 2015 text goes wonky This would happen to me when connected to a particular 3rd party USB cable. Perhaps that's the case here?

Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X Pure Edition (24.11.18)

Re: Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X Pure Edition I'm in the exact same boat, except with a 32GB SD card. Also no issues to report other than I find that clearing my cache storage from time to time gives me an extra GB of internal storage. Once merged, that should no longer be...

My screen (digitizer ?) sometimes becomes possessed - is it me or the phone?

I think I found the culprit - being plugged into the charger (hence why it happens in bed and no where else). For some reason that causes my screen to go nuts. Checking with Motorola about this now...

My screen (digitizer ?) sometimes becomes possessed - is it me or the phone?

I've had my MXPE for a little over two weeks now. Love everything about it except...the last few nights I've been using the phone in bed (with little to no other light on in the room) and keep running into a problem where a swipe, scroll or press on the screen doesn't do what I intended. It's...

Pure on VZW Can't make or receive calls

That 4G logo is Verizon's, so that's why it's gone. Funny story. I took my phone to a VZW store for an unrelated issue and the CSR was like "well first of all you don't even have Verizon service! Look it doesn't say 4G!" I promptly schooled her in the art of buying a (supported!) phone straight...

6.0 Marshmallow: MicroSD card users - will you use adoptable storage?

Re: Marshmallow: MicroSD card users - will you use adoptable storage? I plan to use it. I bought a 16GB internal to save $ and put in a high speed 32GB card that I never plan to remove, so it makes sense to "adopt" it. My only hesitation is that I might eventually want more storage during the...

    Loyalty cards won't scan

Are you having an employee use a gun to scan your phone? I keep trying to use the self check out and scanning my phone by pointing it down on the scanner like you would any other item you're buying.
