Sorry I only just saw this post. I have the flat black Ringke slim. A coworker of mine has the Spigen case that is the equivalent of the Rengke and it is not as grippy. I strongly recommend the Rengke while acknowledging that Spigen makes fantastic cases.

Get the Ringke slim case. It's nice and grippy and you will not be disappointed. I do feel heat through this case, an indication that heat is escaping from the phone.

can you boot into recovery? power+home+volume up or down (cant remember which is for recovery options). If you can you can try clearing cache (conservative and sometimes helps) or force a factory reset.

First let me say that I do some heavy gaming and while the phone gets warm it has never overheated. I use a Ringke slim case. When I had a Spigen Neo hybrid case the phone never even felt warm but I'm guessing thats because the TPU layer held in the heat and it was actually hotter internally...

I think that even with screen mirroring both the chromecast and the phone need to be on the same WiFi network. If the hotel had public WiFi this would make your chromecast available to everyone on the network.

What is specifically being addressed in this update? Or is it one of those things like updating virus definitions where there are no real specifics to talk about?

A little off topic but it would seem that Samsung does the same thing with Galaxy phones that Microsoft does with its operating system. Every other one is a home run. the ones in between are flawed. S1/S2: I really cant comment. No personal experience S3: arguably the best galaxy phone...

Microphone not working is common when it gets wet. I can't explain why it works for video other than to guess that there is more than one mic. Try using it in speakerphone mode? Also if the tiny little microphone opening got water in it it will be very hard to dry out. I had a flip phone once...

Re: How to stop Erase phone command from Google search "Find my phone" Pull the sim card, make sure there is no wifi available, boot it up and back up everything. I'm just saying this off the top of my head so I can not guarantee you that this will work. Good luck.

Its not android pay but when I got my S5 NFC didnt work because I cut my old sim card and installed it. I needed to get a sim that was NFC compatible. Your sim card could potentially be the problem.

re: To answer the question the way it was asked... Yes, all phones have multitouch screens that I am aware of. I am assuming you meant will it have a pressure sensitive screen like the iPhone 6s. Unfortunately I have no idea about that.
