Don't just go buying that App and expecting OC. You have to load a kernel that supports it. Currently CM7 Rom includes OC and Entropy's Kernels over at XDA support up to 1.6 GHZ OC.

Yeah! Settings>Privacy>Factory Data Reset It kept my root inplace and returned everything else to stock! Good luck!

A hard reset worked for me, afterward I was able to login in and upload with no issue! Hope that helps!
