It did. Moving the pics to the internal 16GB card allowed the most recent picture to display first in the gallery.

I was having the same problem. The only solution I found was to transfer the pictures from the external SD card to the internal one.

I think it's specifically for the Kies mini program. Firmware update appears to be all it does.
