Is there any reason why some mp4 movies play from the hard drive on my tab4 but not from the SD card?

Hi all. I have just purchased my 1st ever android device. I am real confused over the movies. The main reason for my purchase is because I travel a lot for work and the specs say a micro SD card up to 128gb would work. I have put a 64gb card in. my movies are all mp4 Only 2 of my films...
