I'm confirming this. Switching the cable to original cable really worked. Managed to solve both my floating notification problem and usb connectivity problem. Thanks
This works for me. Using Samsung Galaxy S4. Instead of turning the notification entirely off, set the Popup Notification settings to "Only When Screen "off""
