Wrong. Clearing data and cache fixed the problem. Lesson learned. When you migrate apps to a new device, clearing data and cache is probably a good step to take on the new device.

For the February 8.1.0 update, my 6P OTA installed OPM3. So did my wife's 5X. So, what is the difference between OPM3 and OPM5?

Google still has not put the 7.0.0 V build on the OTA website. I just plain do not get that. There has to be a reason, but they're not saying.

I got the Verizon 7.1.1 Feb ota pushed, but only after taking the bull by the horn and sideloading the Jan 7.1.1 J build. If you are on the Verizon 7.0.0 V build, I think you're stuck there. Google does not sense your phone because the V build is not listed on their ota webpage.

All moot now since Google has listed 7.1.1 6P updates for all carriers. If it does not get pushed in a few days, I plan to adb sideload the J update.

Yeah, I get that part about 7.1.1. But my question is why they don't list the 7.0 security update even though they already pushed it out through OTA.
