Your best bet is a third-party application. The one I use personally is You cut (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.camerasideas.trimmer). It does the job pretty well. If you don't like that one you can always just search up "video editor" on google play.

I believe your problem should be fairly easy to solve. Just go to Settings>Language and Input>Samsung Keyboard. The option to turn it on should be somewhere in the list.
