    Scammers and spammers on phone

    Often what these scambag's do is they pull out old phone books and find past numbers of legitimate companies that have changes their contact information. Then they can hijack the reputable number that has some validity in its past.

    Typically a factory reset with the last google account used on the phone will allow you to regain control of your phone but will lose anything not backed up.
