G3 has a little better camera. M8 is faster and has better battery life. Overall I like the M8 a little better. You should go to the store and play with both and see what you like. M8 camera is a deal breaker for some people.

The S5 has the best display on any Android smartphone right now. How so? I would argue the G3 and M8 both have better screens and so will both notes as well.

Battery life is a major concern, so from what I've read, the S5 beats the G3 with this, correct? From what I've heard G3 has slightly better battery life than the S5 and the M8 has much better battery life than both. Depends how you use the phone though somewhat.

Everyone has different things that they like in phones. I don't really like the screen of the moto X the 720p screen bothers me . Plus I mostly watch videos on my phone so I would rather have the bigger screen of the G3. Plus the camera is much better. I think the Moto X is better software wise...

No. The phone is just exactly the same as it was before the reset.

I was unable to reset it. I used the recovery mode and did a factory reset but it did not do anything.
