I had problems with the Nokia charger before, but then I got the Energizer charger and have had no problems ever since. The charging coil has to be lined up just right, and these smaller chargers are really tricky to line up. The Energizer charger lines up and charges my Nexus 4 and 7 easily.

I am using the Verizon micro sim from my iPad 3 in my Nexus 7. However, I am seeing lower speeds than I was seeing in my iPad. On my Nexus 7, the max download speed I am seeing is 3 mbps. If it doesn't improve, I might look into AT&T's LTE. I'm on a 2MB/mo plan so there isn't really any cost...
